Puppy Training Overview
Cost: $750 per week Training durations range from 2 to 8 weeks, though we strongly recommend a minimum of 3 weeks to ensure the most effective results.Please note that additional fees may apply for:
- Puppy Transportation

- Veterinary care during training

What does Basic Puppy Training include?
Our goal is to set your Cavapoo puppy up for lifelong success through structured, compassionate, and personalized training. Here’s what your puppy will experience while in our care:

✅ Introduction to Leash Training – Beginning proper leash manners and walking behavior.

✅ Environmental Exposure – Gentle, healthy exposure to lights, sounds, and activity in various environments.

✅ Regular Human Handling – Frequent gentle touch, including paws and ears, to prepare for grooming and vet care.

✅ Redirection of Nipping/Chewing – Teaching what’s okay to chew and gently correcting undesirable behavior like biting furniture or people.

How do I sign up for a Puppy Trainer?
Once you’ve been matched with your Cavapoo puppy, you’ll receive an email introducing our current puppy training options, along with a link to our Training Questionnaire.
This questionnaire is essential to help us learn more about your puppy’s future environment and your specific needs. While we can’t match you to a Trainer until you’ve been matched with a puppy, submitting this form early will help us get a head start in preparing the best training experience possible.
You’ll be asked to share details such as:

Whether your puppy will live in an apartment or house

If pee pad training is needed

Whether other pets or children are in the home

Any custom command words you’d like to use

Special requests or goals (e.g., therapy prep, crate-free sleeping, etc.)
Our Trainers are happy to customize training whenever possible to suit your lifestyle.
Once your form is submitted, our Training Coordinator will review your goals and match your puppy with the most compatible Trainer. They’ll also be available to answer any questions you may have, such as:

Healthy Expectations
At My Choice Puppy, we’re proud to work with experienced and dedicated Puppy Trainers who are passionate about setting your puppy up for success. However, it’s important to understand that each puppy is unique and learns at their own pace. The longer your puppy stays in training, the more they are likely to retain—but no puppy will be fully trained in just a few weeks. Training is a long-term commitment, especially throughout your puppy’s first year of life.
Our Trainers will introduce your puppy to essential skills and lay a strong foundation in crate training, potty training, leash manners, and basic obedience. But your consistent follow-through at home is key. Maintaining the schedule and routines established during training will make all the difference in your puppy’s long-term success. We’re here to support you every step of the way as your puppy continues to grow into a well-behaved, confident companion.
